Sara Witcraft Matches for Internship

Sara Witcraft matched this month and will be completing her internship over 2021-2022 with The Charleston Consortium at the Medical University of South Carolina. Congrats, Sara!


Dr. Dixon awarded grant from the Misophonia Research Fund

Dr. Dixon’s research entitled “Advancing the Characterization and Assessment of Misophonia through Laboratory and Population-based Research” was awarded funding through the Misophonia Research Fund. Congrats, Dr. Dixon!


Sara Witcraft successfully proposes dissertation

Sara Witcraft successfully proposed her dissertation study entitled, Do Individuals with Gastrointestinal Symptoms Experience Emotions Differently? An Examination of Emotional Responding During a Series of Emotion Induction Tasks.


Molly Schadegg passes EPPP

Congrats to Molly Schadegg for passing the EPPP! Passing the EPPP satisfies the Clinical Psychology’s comprehensive exams requirement.


Carson Schmitz awarded 2020 UM-SURF

Congrats to Carson! Carson Schmitz was awarded one of the 2020 UM-Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship, which supports her research endeavors over the summer. Her project is entitled Race and anxiety as predictors of e-cigarette use in college and community samples. 


Dasha’s Successful Honors Thesis Defense

Congrats to Dasha Grace! She defended her honors thesis in April of 2020. Her thesis was entitled,  Examination of sleep disturbance, anxiety sensitivity, and depression in an undergraduate sample. 


Lindsay’s Successful Honors Thesis Defense

Lindsay Sappington defended her Honors thesis in the Spring of 2020. Her thesis is entitled: Through the screen: Examining peer relationships, social anxiety, loneliness, and social media in undergraduates. She graduated from UM in May and will be starting Nursing School in the Fall. Congrats, Lindsay!  


Sarah Berry Honors Thesis Defense
